The increasing cost pressure, the growing competition from Eastern Europe and the demands of the digitization of industry and economy make life difficult for many freight forwarders and logistics service providers. With the aim of counteracting this, twelve medium-sized freight forwarders came together in October 2006 and founded ELVIS, the European Cargo Association of International Freight Forwarders. The idea behind it was yesterday as it is today to build a community of interests that offers its partners protection, strength and a home.
Last but not least, the figures show that this plan worked: ELVIS AG currently has more than 230 partners who together maintain more than 280 locations, 17,000 pulling units and 3 million m² of storage space.
